Nikki Boetger

Nikki grew up drawing in the front covers of my coloring books and on the back of paper placemats in restaurants.  She did well in art classes throughout school and was encouraged by her high school art teachers to take it to the next level and apply for art school.

Talented member, Erin Burchwell, just signed her first book contract today. She will be illustrating a 32 page children's picture book based on a fictional story of a baby Peregrine Falcon who stumbles around the city of Columbus, Ohio. He visits COSI, The Statehouse, Franklin Park, and about 12 other places. The story is written by Susan Levine .It will be a full-color, hardback book that will be on bookstore and library shelves (in Ohio) by the holidays this year. The History Press (Charleston, SC) is the publisher.

4th ANNUAL OHIOANA BOOK FESTIVAL: CELEBRATING OHIO’S AUTHORS – MAY 8^TH

COLUMBUS, OH – The greatest literary event in the state, the 4^th annual Ohioana Book Festival will be held on Saturday, May 8^th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Readers of all ages and interests will have a wonderful time at the Festival, which will be held at the Ohioana and State Library of Ohio’s facility in the Jeffrey Mining Center at 274 E. First Ave., in the historic Italian Village and Short North Arts District of Columbus. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets or advance registration required.
